It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the sudden passing of Chaturaphat Chantith, known many of the ASEM LLL Hub members as Jay. As one of our most recent RN2 members, Jay joined the ASEM LLL community in Cork 2022 and later in Innsbruck 2023, where he quickly became a cherished colleague and friend. His warmth, enthusiasm, and great sense of humour left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of working with him.
Our Asian Coordinator, Chompoonuh, a close colleague of Jay’s in Thailand, attended his funeral and has shared the following tribute in his honour:
“In loving memory of Chaturaphat Chantith (Jay), a hardworking and dedicated educator who never gave up. As a valued colleague and mentor at Songkha Rajabhat University in Thailand, he poured his heart into teaching, always giving his best to his students and inspiring those around him. His passion for working with others extended beyond the classroom, as he actively contributed to the ASEM-LLL community. His kindness, dedication, and unwavering spirit made a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Though his passing was unexpected, his legacy will live on in the lives he touched. He will always be loved and remembered.”
