Expect keynote sessions (TBC) from UNESCO Bangkok and ASPBAE, plus an international panel on the evolving role of universities across Southeast Asia.
This is a must-attend event for educators, researchers, and policymakers interested in the future of lifelong learning and digital skills.
The International Conference Towards Lifelong Learning Ecosystems for a Sustainable Future is aimed at discussing the various aspects of the transition from traditional education and knowledge systems towards creating such Lifelong Learning Ecosystems. The discussions will focus around various concepts and theories, policies and programs, professional values and ethics, and real-life practices - extending across age groups, socio-economic backgrounds, disciplines, settings (formal, non-formal and informal) and so on in a sustainable manner.
The Conference will also launch the VIRTUAL Learning City Project (the virtual counterpart of the Lifelong Learning Ecosystems Project conceived by ASEM LLL Hub Regional Centre for South Asia) and a Learning Neighbourhood Campaign as a part thereof.

Declaration of 8th of January as the “ASEM LLL Hub Lifelong Learning Day
Following the International Conference on “Lifelong Learning for a Sustainable Future. Environment. Economy, co-organised by the ASEM LLL Hub Regional Centre for South Asia, a new declaration has been prepared “Promotion of Lifelong Learning in South Asia: Lifelong Learning for a Sustainable Future. Environment. Economy. Society”. The ASEM LLL Hub Regional Centre for South Asia’s regional centre was established at the Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering and Technology, Kalady, Kerala and the 8th of January was designated “ASEM LLL Hub Lifelong Learning Day".
